One word: Crocs. I would ask you if you have ever seen them before but I know you have. Everyone has, they are everywhere, and I mean everywhere.

Whenever I go to the mall I see Crocs everywhere. There is a Crocs outlet. An entire outlet dedicated solely to these demented pieces of plastic that people call shoes. They even have “high fashion Crocs”. Are you serious? Crocs and high fashion do not belong in the same universe let alone the same sentence.

By SS

Cancer is the second leading killer natural killer in the United States of Americans age 15 and older, with breast and prostate cancer topping the charts, according to cancer.org.

The dangers of cancer become more pronounced every year.  However, local and national action has been taken in the wake of these risks to prevent and cure not just breast cancer, but also all types of cancer.

Former WBNS-10TV anchorwoman Heather Pick fought a very public breast cancer battle from 2004 until November 2008, when she lost her fight.  In her struggle, Pick’s goal was to never be held back by her illness, and to improve the lives of others throughout Central Ohio suffering from cancer and other sicknesses.

Bush Administration ushered in historical events
June 20, 2009 – 12:18 pm | No Comment

Former President George W. Bush exited his 8 years in the oval office with a staggeringly low approval rating— a slightly rebounded 34 percent by Jan. 20, 2009, when he passed the Presidency to President Barack Obama, according to the Los Angeles Times.

However, through these past 8 years, approval ratings have not been the only major concern surrounding Bush. America has faced controversy, terrorism and other extreme hardships during the Bush administration. Whether citizens have commended decisions made by the former President or not concerning the proceedings, a few aspects of the term of our 43 President stand out as shaping our history.

PDA leaving school in chaos
June 20, 2009 – 11:49 am | No Comment

By Jacqueline Cromleigh ‘09

I enjoy hearing about relationships and seeing romantic comedies. I think it is cute. But there is one thing about that I have come to not enjoy and that is the excessive public display of affection (otherwise known as PDA) in our hallways.

Everyday I have to weave through a maze of PDA fiends, who do not focus on anything but themselves. The crazed lip lockers act as if the hallways are their own homes. Some do not even move to the side of the hall, but instead demonstrate the display in the middle of the hallways (sounds a bit repetitive).

By Taylor Carney ’10 and Jo-Yee Pang ‘10

It’s a common occurrence that spring/summer fashionable clothing are pushed into the back of the closet or put into boxes when winter arrives and then never seen again until April or May. With the household budgets continuing to limit the amount of purchases on new clothes, here are some new ways to continue to wear your clothes from previous seasons.
